action rod holders?

    anybody use these action two pack rod holders ?

    Almost, but I went with the bass pro red and black twin pack rod holders. If I were you, and was looking to go cheaper like I was, I would try the action ones. The BP brand I bought are solid, but the angle adjust has that little black lever that locks them down, and let me tell you it makes them very weak. We had some 40 and 50 lb blues collapsing thos things no problem. So I removed the black spring loaded lever and replaced with bolts to lock them in place at 45 degrees. i gess you get what you pay for, they dont fit in the side mounts very well either. I would try the action ones and see how it goes for ya.

    I bought the Action twin pack at Bass Pro and have them mounted on the front of my deck boat...........LOVE them so far.

    I have some, (14) no problems. but been scared what would happen if a 50+ jerks on it. I have been buying something like drift masters and when I have enough I'll swap. but they have held up to 28lb blue without problems.
