It was a beautiful fall day today, no wind and the temps in the high 40s. Decided to put the yak on Lake Luzerne and do some Northern pike fishing, normally i only fish for pike through the ice. Actually it wasn't the fishing that i was interested in just wanted to be out on the water and relax. I had brought 6, six in. live suckers. After roaming around the lake for a while i found a spot where a tree had fallen in the water with a deep drop off close by. I threw my bait in between the drop off and the tree in about 12 ft. of water. Not 10 seconds later my rod almost gets ripped out of my hands. I'm thinking Ive got a really nice northern--Well---and this is embarrassing it turns out its a BBaaa---sss!!!! and its a big one. Dont get me wrong i have nothing against bbaasss fisherman, well not too much anyway!! I have no idea how much the dang thing weighs--guessing 6-7 lbs. Got some kids to take some pics and released the girlie man fish back into the water. Here are some pics of the fish and the lake.

NIce fish and nice looking lake you have there. Don't feel bad about catching bass. I caught a nice striper drift fishing cut herring on Murray (see avatar). He was put back too.
