I saw this reel on Ebay. Does anyone know anything about it? Are there really only 300 of these? The orice was $137 + $12 shipping. And NO I did not buy one....

    Dang,

Now I just found this one:

6500c3 BLUE YONDER! Man Abu is driving me nuts w/ these limited edition reels. I want ALL of them! I heard of a John Deere Green 6500 but so far can not find it.

If you sit and watch ebay, there is almost a limitless array of those 6500's. If you watch long enough, you can usually pick them up pretty cheap. I've gotten a few of those limited edition type reels brand new for a lot less than $137.00. But, a lot of them go for that kind of money on there.

I like those kind like that Blue Yonder one there that come with the power handle. That one also appears to have two spool tension adjustments, one on each side, like a 7000 usually has. Pretty sweet!!

I know if you go to the right store it seems like they always have blue yonders and rockets and the big game reels. I've been reading up and apparently the surf crowd likes them quite a lot. There are lever drags too.

I read about some of the new ones saying "assembled in sweden" instead of "made is sweden" on the box. Hopefully they keep their reputation up. Did you try new drag washers yet? It will keep you busy for an hour or two......

Man that blue is sharp. It would match the paint job on my truck perfectly.
It's sad how fisherman are even becoming color coordinated.

I was jsut looking on ebay and I saw a Camo Abu 6500 C3. Where are all these crazy reels coming from.

a lot of the times here they price on Ebay for a used reel is more than than a new one at the store when you add shipping. now that is not always the case and there are some good deals but watch out.

I think my orange, grey, and black Abu's will look just as pretty and work just as good as the limited turbo charged models as they sit unmoving in my rod holders. Ha Ha

For roughly the same price ($150 or so) I just got:

5600 Blue & Gold HiSpeed WS
    5600 Orange Rockett
    5000 Black Abu
    5000 Red Abu

(Yes I needed to restock up on my channel cat & carp reels.)

When we were hard up for $, I was forced to get rid of all my Channel Cat reels, now that my wife & son are going more, I really did need some Channel Cat reels, & NO, the Abu 6600 & Abu 6500 Trophy I was using for Channels were not "Channel Cat Geared Enough"...... Yea, thats it.

Na... I cant either. I can get new Abu 7000's for $73 from my Abu connection guy, so I dont see why to spend that much on a Midnight Blue or Blue Wonder.
