Abu 6500 Inshore??????

    I don't know what this is. I take that back...it's marketing.

    AG takes a basic frame, hangs on an assortment of bells and whistles, gives it a new name and a new color, and pretends it's a new reel.

    It's not. It's still a 6500, and imo, if you or anyone else wants a 6500 Ambassadeur, a C3 or C4 will do everything you need it to do.

    You'll have to forgive me...I'm getting old, grouchy, and cynical.:wink:

    If you plan on doing some saltwater fishing, it would be a good reel to get. But if you plan on just using it for fresh water fishing, you can get two c3 reels for the price of one new 6500 inshore. Its a matter of choice, how much money do you want to spend and what your needs are. As for me I saltwater fish maybe a few times a year. I use what reels I have (6500 & 7000 c3 reels) and run fresh water on them after each use in salt water. Just my 2 cents. Mike
