abu 5600 good for carp fishing?

    hay guys i was wondering if the abu garcia 5000 or 5600 wound be a good reel for carp fishing.and how mutch do they cost?

    i dunno about carp but they are Great in *******...s . i have seen the 6500 clicker and all for 56.00 at local bait shop

    I think it would work alright...the problem is, I am not sure about using a baitcaster for carp fishing....but that is just me. I like spin equipment so that I can throw really light baits.

    i agree. i wouldnt use a clicker when carp fishing either, those nasty, stinky, slimy b#@$#@ds are some of the smartest fish swimming and will drop a bait if they feel the slightest resistance. when i carp fish i use just a small trebble and a wheatie ball the size of a marble. no weight at all, not even a split-shot.
