ABU 5000 repair?

    I have a old ABU 5000 and i recently stripped the drag gears out. on a stripe can someone give me a address or a phone # to i send this abu 5000 to get it repaired?

    The link you sent me was dead it wouldn't let me in the link.. i really want to get this abu vintage 5000 repaired can someone help? with where i can send this thing too.. it has alot of sentimental value's and i want to get it fixed it's been passed down to me in the family

    Here are some of the abu repair sites... I'd check with them first as prices have recently changed.

    There are about 20 other locations located on the papers I got with my latest Abu reel, but the first is a national site, the second serves your state.

    Hey michael,
    There's a older guy down in East nashville that repairs all kinds of reels. i took him my old reel and he cranked it a couple times and then said.." this is what is wrong", ordered a part and i got the reel back in a couple days and it's worked great ever since.

    If the other ideas don't pan out, send me a PM or post back to this thread and i'll find his contact info.
