My youngest son, Aaron, has been trying to get me to put his photo on for the last few months.
He caught this Channel Cat in the Whetstone River in Cardington, Ohio. The Whetstone feeds into Delaware Res., but up here it is not much more that a creek. About a foot deep with occasional holes. It runs behind his house, where he lives with his mom. He caught the cat on either nightcrawlers or shad, I'm not sure. 30 inches and a little over 10 pounds. It got him a Fish Ohio Award, and that made him happy. He has also caught at least one Fish Ohio Carp there, over 28 inches. He's always catching something.
