I think maybe the BOC needs a section for the ladeis to share thier info/dtories hows everyone else feel about this..... I was out promoteing this site and a couple of the local ladys had asked if thier was a place for the ladies I told her the whole site was for eveyone

My wife also asked if how many female members we have on here. I told her quite a few, but even though she gets on here and reads a little every now and then, she still hasn't actually joined. A ladies section may be all she needs to get started on here.

My wife also logs on to BOC using my account, just to read. If I make any bad post it must be her using my account. HeHeHe. LOL.
I asked her to open her own account. One day she will. A ladies section may be good.
I think it would be nice to have sub forums in the MEMBER WORLD DISCUSSION
section, like we had on other site in the general area and like we have on some sections on new site. Sub forums in MWD area, we could have an area 51, the mud hole, military etc. and add a ladies sub folder. The sub forums would also help better organized the MWD area.

lol, kidding aside, it might be a method of increasing our membership - i know a lot of the gals don't always like to hang out with only guys

Gentlemen,

We tried this in the past, and it didnt work out as intended. Most members see a thread that interest them, and post away, unaware of what the actual overall topic may be, then there were other issues. Unless you are talking about some type of entry controlled area, the only real way to make it female only?

Darn good idea Dave. We had one on the old site and it seemed to work out just fine as long as we stay outa it. LOL! It will also provide a place for good old J.W. Dreadnaught to go with his affection for pink that he has and stay in touch with his feminine side. LOL!

I think this would be a good idea maybe we will have a contest to name the section 1 Phil entry=powder puff section, Tops entry= Cat fishing Gals. Dave E-mail one of the Mods with your Idea. All the mods are good and will listen to new ideas.

Don't laugh, my wife has been known to do the same. Recently, I had a trip planned with JetDriver and she got on here begging John to not let me throw all the fish back, her freezer was down to one bag of catfish.

I think she's getting spoiled though. When I called her to let her know I was heading home and yes, I was bringing a fish home, she said "Only one? How big?" When I told her it was about 15 lb and the only one I caught, she said, "Why bother if that's all your bringing home?" LOL

Seriously, I am against forming a new section just for one group of us here. Not just women. We are a large collection of individuals here. Each of us can learn from the perspective of those who are not identical to us. I, for one, came here originally to learn and that continues to this day. How much can I learn if everyone here catfish'ed the same way, same locations, same outlook toward catfishing? We all have something to offer and if it gets tucked away in a corner under a section we don't frequent, it will be lost. The thought of something slipping past me, well, it upsets me to no end. There are new idea's out there, and I want to learn them!
I understand the states section, it is valuable. The same goes for the division of types of catfish, Blue, Channel, etc.. But for general conversation and tips, I would think keeping it simple and all inclusive would be advantageous to all of us.

I know, it sounds like some political, liberal idea and of course, it actually is. No, I aint changing my politics. However, when they get a theory right, it should be acknowledged.

Whatever you want to call it, I am still for it. That is based on conversations with my wife. She is pretty new to fishing and regardless of what I tell her, she doesnt' beleive that there are that many "femalefisherwomen" out there and I think if she had a spot on here to come visit with some of the other ladies, she would feel more comfortable jumping in to the regular discussion areas and asking questions where to be truthful, there are mostly guys posting. It is not really a big deal to me one way or the other. I am just passing on what my wife thinks. I don't see that it would hurt anything, but of course something that could also be done without starting a new category would be to just start a running thread so all the fisherwomen could speak up and show your face here. Just my thoughts, so don't yell at me, lol.
