Last sunday we fished and caught 8-10 good blue cat..the bite stopped and didnt do much the last hour or so.. I left the chicken liver on my pole and headed home.. today when we got to the spot, i picked up my pole that still had the cured liver on it and I just threw her out.. the fishing was really slow today and after 4 hours and 10 different spots only 2 bites and no fish..but my hunk of chicken liver was still on the hook..so I just left it..barring a mouse or rat attack i'll be using the same piece next weekend.. this is a first for me..most of the time my liver gets lost on the cast..hahah:big_smile: thanks to teasvallyguy for the post on curing liver!!

That's some tough liver. Even for cured liver.

Keith, I like to replace my cured liver at least every hour or so, even if it's staying on the hook just great. I figure after that long in the water, a lot of the smell/taste has gone out of it.
