a little help from you northern boys!

    i never used a planer board before,i fish 20 to 35 feet of water, braided 80 lbs line, 7 foot rods , and anchored in good current , use 5 to 8 oz of weight and not a fan of circle hooks. now what kind of planer board would you use and the hardest part what kind of release, idont quite understand how they work, any help would be appriciated.:confused2::confused2::confused2::confused2:

    I use them striper fishing but also use them with cut bait for blues and with slip floats for blues too. I have used them with drift rigs out the back of the boat. Water bugz are the best out there, just cast you rline out however far you want it, attach the board and pay out line to get it as far out to the side that you want it, the more you put out, the further back and out it will go. They're easy to use, but you have to be moving or in current or they won't plane. good luck!
