Well as I posted in another report, I was fishing last Wednesday with my friend Chris on the Vermilion River, (a tidal river, although the current is pretty strong going downstream 95% of the time) We were in our normal spot a good 60 miles upriver from Vermilion Bay when I get a catfish on and it turns out to be a 2 pound GAFFTOP!! :eek:oooh: Right after that I caught a small blue, then we concluded with Chris catching a 7lb. blue.

Now i'm just waiting to catch a huge Bullshark:smile2:

Gafftops are caught quite often in brackish or very low salinity waters.
QUICK TIP ::: put a little vinegar in the water when cleaning gafftops and it cuts that slime away. Works good on tackle too.
