Here are a couple appetizers I always have out to keep the hordes at bay while the food is cooking during the holidays. Nothing fancy but always go fast.

    1. Get a can of good lump crab meat and mix in a bowl with about half a bottle of your favorite cocktail sauce...pour over a block of cream cheese and serve on a dish with crackers.

    2. Mix smoked salmon, finely chopped green onions and soft cream cheese. Stir until the salmon and onions are broke up and mixed well into the cheese. Again serve with crackers or toast rounds.

Quick, simple and eveyone loves them....

Can't remember if I've posted this or not, so here goes. Take a Waverly Wafer or Club Cracker and wrap a slice (or 1/2 slice) of bacon around it lengthwise. Microwave till bacon is done to your liking. Because the cracker soaks up lots of the tasty bacon grease, I call these 'Cholesterol Crackers'. Like a potato chip, betcha can't eat just one!
