Not sure what style boat your looking at, but I have a Tracker Pro Guide 17 and take it on the Mississippi all the time. Mine is a deep V style boat and handles the water pretty good. I think it's a little small when there is a lot of barge traffic, but I'm not sure I've been in a boat yet and felt very safe when those barges start rolling on up the river.

That is a nice looking boat, but it may be a little small on the Ohio. I have fished on the Ohio a few times and the barge traffic is sometimes a little bad. Be very careful.

I little bigger boat, with higher sides may be a little safer on the Ohio.
