It has trouble codes pointing at the map sensor which is brand new, MAF sensor which is expensive, gas cap, vacuum leak and I replaced all the vacuum lines I could see under the hood. It runs great while driving until you come to a stop and then hit the gas. The fuel pump was replaced a couple of years ago and the fuel filter was replaced last summer. It also idles a little erratically. The air vents inside do work like they're supposed to, the air kind of blows out of all the vents unless it is on AC and I was wondering if they're vacuum controlled like the old GM's used to be.

Check fuel pressure with a guage. Cycle the key on and off a couple times and watch the guage. The fuel pressure while the fuel pump is running and the engine off should be 60-66 pounds. It should hold steady after the pump shuts off. If it drains off fast there's a problem. That engine is notorious for fuel injection problems. The c.p.i.(central port injection) unit is all under the clamshell intake. sometimes the regulator will leak. sometimes it will be a poppet hose. But it's usually something with the c.p.i.. They're also notorious for intake gaskets leaking. A vacuum leak, or just an engine not running as expected will force a m.a.p. code. I would start with fuel pressure checks. Or you'll be hunting and replacing all kinds of expensive parts for no reason. To check integrity of your fuel pump just squeeze off the fuel supply tube at the flexible line, and energize the pump. Pressure should spike up real high and stay there as long as you have the line crimped off. Here's a hint. the supply line is 5/16 and the return is 1/4. I bet you end up replacing, or repairing the c.p.i. and resealing the lower intake. I'm enclosing a link that shows what all the parts look like. I'm in no way endorsing or suggesting this site. It just has nice pic's! LOL. Good luck. And. let us know how it turns out.
