Brothers Bobpaul and Bubbacat... FINALLY got the boat to the lake !!!

    YAHOOO!!!

    NOW ???

Relize the motot ain't been started in over a year...

New clean 6 gallons fuel, 50:1 2 cycle oil,(just incase the oil injector don't work)...
Pump up the bulb several times till it gets hard...little bit of the throttle...push in the choke turn the key... cough sputter..yea I know keep working at it...finally get her going...water squirting out the back just like it's 'sposed to ...then it stalls out...

All over again...several times...( I am very patient) finally, after jacking with the throttle and the choke, I get it iddling around 1000 rpm. That lasts for several minutes. Ease back the throttle and she dies. All back through it again. Idles for a while, give it a little more gas...she cuts out. Get it running,
chokes out.. If I bump the choke before it cut's out, it will run up again.

I know you guys a rolling on the floor laughing, BUT, if I don't do somthing different...I'll get the same result. After an hour of jacking around, I relize I am over my head!!!

Thanks for any and all advice in advance!!!

    (dang it gets dark early)

It's running on choke fuel and not getting fuel through the idle circuit in the carb. Hasn't run in a year. Fouled carb.

But you already knew that, huh?

Be sure it's firing on all cylinders.

Wally, Mercs are not easy carbs to deal with. Get a manual for this job if you don't already have one.
