Is there a "PAW" that locks up the traini when you put the thing in PARK ?

And if there is is it POSSIBLE for that thing to get hung up and not disengage when you try to move the vehicle ?

With the trani in "N", I can "ROCK" the car (VERY HARD) against itself and sometimes it will start to roll. A loud ckank is herd when this happens. I can drive it around the block, no problem. Foward, back no problem. Put the thing in Park, it locks up.:realmad:

    Thanks for the help.

It's a parking pawl and that is a fairly common failure on that tranny. It is accessed under the side cover. On some cars it can be replaced w/o pulling the entire transmission depending on how the subframe is set up.

Good Evening, As Already Mentioned, That Is A Common Failure For That Transaxle. I Do Believe That There Is A TSB(Technical Service Bulletin) For That Concern.

If You can PM Me With The Vin #, Year/Make/Model, Etc. I Will Access All The Info For You On Monday, Have A Good Weekend, Elliot
