how do you detach the sensor from the transfer case??
i`ve tried to pop it out w/ a screwdriver, but it want budge.
i see no clips or screws. i hope i don`t have to remove the driveline :sad2:

Why are you trying to remove the sensor? Is it bad? If you are trying to remove it because of the wire going to the shift motor connector all you have to do is remove the locking tab from the middle of the connector and pry the little tab holding that wire into the connector and pull the wire out. The new motor will not come with the sensor.

they are seperate & we sell the shift motors for those trucks all the time!!!99% of the time u replace the motor & down the road u go---the speed sensor won't keep it from engaging or disengaging!!!! hope that helps some
