92 evinrude 35jet motor

    I have a 92 evinrude 35jet the water pump was just replaced and its still over heating and shutting down any help guys.

    Was the block flushed out, thermostat replaced?

    I blew the water outlet out with air it seems pretty clear dont know if the guy that replace the water pump did he said he couldnt test a jet motor in a tank.But he gave me the old pump it was no dout bad

    If any of the vanes were broke and missing off that impeller then they are up in the water system inside the block.

    Jet drives suck alot of trash at start up if your in shallow waters. It might be worth it to pull the head and inspect the water passages. Check with whoever did your pump.
