I have a 99 90 hp johnson. Ran great until two weeks ago. It has developed a miss. I changed plugs and fuel filter. It will run when first in water and then misses bad after a few minutes of running. It completly quit last time. I trolled back to dock.(1 hour). Ran fine when loading it up. I know it s time to see the mechanic. Just wondering what the damage may be? Thanks!

Yes, I believe it is OIS. Thank you! I havent fished in a month. Time to pay the man.

I ussually blow one about every 4 to 5 years. I feel overdue.

It sounds like the ignition module is going out on it, is why I asked.

I can change one in about 20 minutes, if that's the problem.

Your looking at cost of part and about 1 hr labor.
