I posted a couple weeks ago about eliminating the oil mixing system on my Johnson and it seemed to work fine after doing what I was told on here. Then we noticed that the small vent that hooked in above the fuel pump seemed to leak when we primed the ball so we disconnected this vent. Now the motor loses prime any time we go over about eight miles per hour. Does this 'vent" some how effect the priming of the motor? Should I reconnect it?
