Fishing Chickamauga Lake in Tennessee, I managed to hook and land this 78 lb blue cat on Nov 9, 2007. I was using cut skipjack on the bottom in 45 feet of water at mid day when it hit. I had two relative newbies in the boat and they couldn't believe their eyes when this 53 inch monster came alongside the boat! We ran to shore to weigh it on certified scales because it was close to the line-class record, but it fell 3 pounds short. It was revived and released unharmed. Another great day!

    Jim,
That's way too negative. Every time that rod tip goes down it could be monster.

    Eric, nice fish

Eric, you will make that line class record this year, I have no doubt about that. Way to go!
