78 lb Blue Catfish on Chickamauga River!

    I caught this 78 lb blue on Chickamauga at mid day Friday 11-09-07 on cut skipjack. I love those cold weather blues!

    6 lbs short of his PB according to his profile. The way he gets the big ones it's just a matter of time though, and probably not long.

    Eric, Thats sure a "whopper"! I bet that was fun! Was your skipjack a "frozen chunk"? I would like to come up there sometime fishing, Im not sure how far that is from Memphis? Congrats, on ANOTHER T.A.R.P fish! :big_smile:

    Thanks everyone! It really was a good fight, I just love not being able to move a fish when it hits! And yes, it was a chunk of frozen skipjack again, it works great!
