I got a 72 115 merc 6 cylinder that had set awhile. I rebuilt the carb's and replaced the electronics. I pulled the trigger and cleaned it and reinstalled it. The motor started the first crank and sounds great but the idle is to fast and I can't get it down, is there something in the trigger that I don't have installed right.

Do you have your control cables hooked up?

Disconnect the throttle cable and see if it'll idle down. Move the throttle on the engine by hand and go over all your linkage as it moves.

Be sure the throttle plates in the carbs close all the way when throttled down. They all need to move in sync.
