does anyone know of a blot action 7.62x39mm bolt action rifle? i have used my sks rifle down on the farm for whitetail and mule deer and hogs and killed em out to 220 yards. i have a daughter who is 7 years old that just wants to kill a deer so bad! i am going to start her hunting deer in two years, and this is a great round for deer size game. i shoot a 123 grain hollowpoint, and the entry and exit wounds are minimal, but the damage on the inside is tremendous. even a customized sks would be heavy for her to carry, and i don't remember ever seeing a bolt rifle in this caliber.

Jordan, have you looked at the NEFs.
Sounds like a Handi-Rifle 30-30 would be a perfect fit.

Looks like Remington might have a bolt action for it, Model 799.
Trying to find some more info about it.

I remember years ago asking about something like that to a gun dealer about a mauser type bolt action in 7.62 x 39. He said there are some available. I had an sks already at the time so I didnt buy it. I love that cartridge. its inexpensive and with the low recoil anyone can shoot it all day. Heres what I can find during a search.

CZ 527, bolt action, order the scope mounts. New Ruger Mini in California where they outlawed semi-autos....replacement that is.

If you can't find a 7.62 x 39 in what you want you may want to try a 7mm 08
in a youth model. It has good ballistics and low to moderate recoil.
