Me and my boy hit the water yesterday for a bit of true wintertime catting.....The temp was in the forty's with a 5-10mph east wind with clouds and rain....We made several anchors through out the day with no success...The bite has been off for whatever reason.....We never gave up and just kept hunting for those big blues... This was a day were persistence was key.....The day was just about gone when we finally heard the sound of drag being pulled off one of the reels....What a great sound!!!!!!!I was first to the rod...I got it out of the rod holder and handed it off to my son....Cody having caught several big catfish in the past worked this one like a pro....I was proud of him as we read the scales and they showed us that the massive blue weighed 69lbs....This blue was caught on skipjack in 30 feet of water using Team Catfish double action hook....
