I read a post about looking for a 6500 Power Handle, and have many times thought about getting one for mine so my question is, are the benefits of adding one of these worth it? I do notice some difficulty when reeling in either a fish or live bait with alot of sinkers in some current. It makes sense with it being bigger so what do you guys think. Thanks

I see no big difference in them except when reeling in with no fish on
is a lot faster with the double paddle handle and I think its easier to fight a fish with the power handle. Both have their perks.I like both

i fished for a couple years without a power handle and then i got the blackcat 6500. And to be honest i love it, i wont fish with a reel with out one. You pick up line quicker which helps when the fish is coming towards you, and from playing hockey my hands sometimes cramp with the smaller reel handles. But havent had that issue since i started fishing the power handle

The bigger handle gives me a lot more leverage when fighting a fish.....big difference. And to be honest, I hate that tiny little crank they come with. The gearing is the same no matter what, but I feel much better with the bigger handle.....I need 2 myself ; )
