Should I get the 6000 red baitcaster or the 6500c3?

The C3 will be smoother since it has more ball bearings. I think it also has a better drag system.

I've got 4 of the 6500C3's and 3 of the 7000C3's. Love them all and will buy more when I need them...

I have a 6000 its a good reel but I would get the 6500C3 since it has better drag.

I would go with the 6500c3. I have three and am very satisfied. I use 30lb hybrid line and have not had any problems.

I'd go with the 6500c3 but I'm also a fan of the 6000.

The 6000's are good reels but you will like the 6500's better.

If you can get the 6000 for quite a bit cheaper, I'd get it, then replace the spool bushings with bearings. That will make it a 6500. You can get the bearings for as little as 5.00 a pair for the stainless. I'd go with the ceramic though. They'll last longer and you can get them for as little as 10.00 a pair.

There's a post in the library section of this forum that shows you how to change them out. It's pretty simple.

For 30 dollars more you could buy a Daiwa SHA30X(sealine).And use GPS cords and fly in 8 oz. of lead and your chunk shad anywhere on the water.:eek:oooh: I have a 6500c3 it casts very well, drag system o.k,but ambassedeur has a ton of upgrades for almost all there reels.

    6500c3.

You are making an investiment in the future. Go with the 65ooc3 and don't look back. It's not only the right choice it's the best. Good luck on your decision.
