Had fellow USCA member Skip Brown in the boat with me today. We got to HR at about 5:00 to be met with a major bass tournement at the Southmont landing. We got out on the lake about 5:30. The water temp was 89 degrees, clear and calm. We fished two creeks and the islands area. In all a very good day. We picked up 17 channels, 2 biggest were 9 pounds ( no dd fish this week ) and one flat at 6 pounds, 1 crappie and roughly 20 perch. Even though it was hot there was a nice breeze most of the day and Skip and I swapped ideas and stories all morning. We got off the water about 1:30 to get in before the bass boys came back for the big wiegh in. Hopefully we can team up again on LKN. The fish like last week preferred the crappie to the perch.

Thanks, had a good time. The first time you fish with someone, you see more than water and catch more than fish. You catch a view of the person and how they troll thru life. Good man to ride the water with. If they can catch fish also, thats a good bonus.
