I've been a little worried about hitting the REALLY big blues this year. Me and clients have been having a hard time breaking the 30 lb. barrier. We smashed the barrier Sunday evening. B.J. Johnson from Nashville, Tenn. crossed the eyes on a 53 lber.... although it was B'J's eyes that were crossed for a little while. When you get that first glimpse of fish like this, it takes your breath away. I added a a picture of the Johnson's "little fish" for good measure. The big blue bit on a HUGE skipjack head in about 40 feet of water fishing in the headwaters of Nickajack Lake (almost in rock-throwin' range of the Tennessee Aquarium in downtown Chattanooga).
