Decided to try my luck on the chick last night and was pleasently surprised with this nice fat Blue caught him on cut shad.

Congratd man and I see you're using the Zebco Hawg Seeker. So many people knock that Rod & Reel on this site, I have one and it works fine for me

Its not my go to rod and reel but out of the three combos I use, it has caught the years biggest fish with no problem. A 20lb Flat and a 17.8# channel. Also congrats on the Blue.

I've got an old spinning rod I've been meaning to buy a reel for for months, and looked at the Hawg Seeker several times, almost buying it. The trouble is, it's almost cheaper to get it in a rod/reel combo, which of course, would still leave me shopping for another reel. :smile2:
