Took a half day trip out of New Richmond. We caught some channel cats from 2.5-5 lbs with only one large fish - a 34 inch 13 pound 8 ounze channel.
I also caught a smaller sauger.

Lots of bassers - didn't see any hookups.

I'll be back at it in a couple weeks and make a full day out of it!

I'm a little confused by the question, but here goes -

Launched from the free public ramp and fished only 3 spots - all down river.
I fish upstream also, but just didn't have time on Sunday. FYI - decent bank fishing right in the ramp area.

With the water low and falling it made the fishing tougher. I fished 2 areas with a gravel bar extending from the bank where the water went from 22 ft to 4 - 6 ft creating a nice eddy and some swift current. I also fished one of the power plants on the Ohio side.

Stripers were pounding top water at one point too, but I only had heavy cat gear in the boat:angry:
