decided last second to head to claytor yesterday evening and catfish. put the boat in around 7:00 and caught a bunch of gills for bait. got set up on first spot about 8:00. before it got dark i caught a 22 inch hybrid and an 18# flathead. also got a 8# channell and 23# flattie from same spot. all on live gills but hybrid was on cut gill.

Great job Chip, thanks for the report. Been on Claytor a couple of times the past few weeks and things have been a little slow, good to here tey are getting active again.
Have you fished the stump beds above Light House bridge? Been hearing people do pretty good around them for cats as well as stripers.
    Good fishing!
