I know there really wasnt ever a ramp there to begin with but how bad is it now? How low is the water.

was just on the cape fear down at lock and dam 3 last week and the water was up from when it rained and had gone down a bit. shouldn't be too bad, but the water at that ramp is shallow at normal level

It's a pretty good little ramp....kinda primitive, but I launch my 24 foot skiff there often and have no problems at all. The water in the river right now is not low at all. They keep it pretty regular. If we don't get rain soon though, they may cut the dam off completely...Raleigh area has to drink you know.......

Right now as of today....clear sailing......

We fished there 2 weeks ago, plenty of water..clear too. Could not find a fish that day. Crappie nor cats. A bad day fishing is better than a good day at work !
