42 lb flathead catfish...18 years ago...

    my dad had a mullet till he was in his 30's ,,,, and he never caught one like that

    Troy you had that jerry curl in your avatar pic, and caught a nice flathead. If you would have kept it, you'd probably be on some big cats by now. :smile2:

    Cool Matt, I like those old pictures. You had to work for them, buy the flim, take the film in and go back to pick them up hoping they come out.

    I don't think I was ever cool enough to wear a mullet.:smile2: Thanks for digging up that article and sharing the pictures. That is a big fish. Wish I could manage to hook one half that size.

    Those pics are actually from a newspaper article. The place I caught that fish should not have had a flathead in it. The fish had a trotline string deep in his belly so I assume someone caught him and decided not to clean him.
