4-Stroke Outboard Winterization

    EFI 4-Stroke Outboard Engine

    • Add fuel treatment and stabilizer to fuel tank(s) as required per gallon • Change water separating fuel filter, if equipped. • Connect portable fuel tank containing manufactures recommended winterizing fuel, stabilizer & oil mix. • Run engine up to operating temperature, circulating winterization mix to protect internal engine parts. • Reconnect engine fuel line. • Drain and refill lower unit gear lube and install new washers. • Pressure test lower unit if any indication of water exist • Change engine oil and filter using only quality products. • Grease engine fittings.







    Carbureted 4-Stroke Outboard Engine

    • Add fuel treatment and stabilizer to fuel tank(s) as required per gallon • Change water separating fuel filter, if equipped. • Run engine up to operating temperature, circulating stabilized fuel through fuel system, disconnect fuel line and run system dry. • Remove spark plugs and inject oil into each cylinder, turn engine over by hand and re-install spark plugs. • Drain and refill lower unit gear lube and install new washers. Pressure test lower unit if any indication of water exist • Change engine oil and filter using only quality products. • Grease engine fittings.
