The story is even better. Where I fish I have to walk 2 mile's down a mountain. But Thats where I've had my best luck fishing. So I'm down there
about 20 minutes goes by and my drag starts running. It ran for about 30 yards and I set the hook and he pulled me towards him thats when I realized
he was big so I set me drag so he could pull when he wanted to and the fight was on. After fighting for about 10 minutes I pulled him up to the bank and seen he was a Citation, I didn't have a net so I got in the water I pulled him to me and grabbed his mouth with all my might and he shoke my hand out his mouth and back he went 20 feet out in the river so I fought again for about 5 minute's when I brought him back to the bank and this time my grip was stronger than his shake and I pulled him on the bank weighed him. He was 34# on my berkley digital's. So then I had to carry him 2 miles back up the mountain. He weighed in at 36 at the market on certified scales. Thats my first Citation. I've been chasing that fish for 4 years and I have him now.

Nice fish Mate! Sounds like you were due after the time you put in.
Next time get a length and girth measurement. I have a couple tables on excel avail that you can verify the weight against to compare in case your not confident in your scale. Then you can release it rather than haul her into town for a certified weight. (less stress on the fish) Unless your going for a State or World record.
    thanks
    Larry
