Tom had never caught a flatty over 5 lbs or so. I told him the next fish that made a run was his , regardless what pole it was on.....little did I know it would be a 60 lb'er.....lol... I could almost cry ! The other fish was a 30 that Im holding.Caught several that size (30's) so far this year. Bluegill was always the bait of choice.

I went to Blythe last year a little to early. I froze my but off, nearly killed my brother and never even had a bite.
We got out there on Thursday afternoon and caught a lot of bluegill for bait.

    Hey Lenny,

I fished with Micha Thursday and Friday night... He caught two huge cats: A 20# and a 30lber... Both off of live gills..

** I think I was the only one out of the group that did not catch any flatheads... But man the river sure was beautiful.. It was worth the drive..

That is a huge fish. Biggest flats a caught were around 7 inches long, from Catfish Point and Canyon Lake. lol

Ok, Ok let me get this straight. I know I have posted comments on a few threads since I first join mentioning I'm on my by way of the military and that I was wondering about the wheres and hows. I think I have also mentioned a little something about converting my 15' skeeter for catfishing. But hell I now believe that if I put my "Blue Gill" (my boat)in those waters those whales are gonna sink me!!!!!:eek:oooh:

Your 15 footer is fine. I catch flats in my buddies 15 foot canoe.
