I went fishing yesterday with my partner and we caught alot of fish. We tried drifting first thing in the morning and just got 2 bites for the first 3hrs so we changed strageties and slip-corked some channels in the brush. we caught ALOT of them. When we decided that we had all the fish that we wanted to clean, we went back to drifing. We caught 5 blues in the last hr of daylight. two 3lbers, two 5lber, and the big daddy. we caught the big fish last at the end of the area we were drifing. All the blues were caught on shad except that big one, he was caught on cut buffalo. Pics to follow, the fish was officially weighted at Academy, photographed and then released. That fish was extremely active in the makeshift Livewell that we had to set up for transport. BTW the only reason we transported that fish is that it was showing 33lbs on my friends scales, so we figured that was close enuff the the lake record (34lbs 6oz) to see if we had it.
