Me and bosshogg hit the river yesterday down in New Richmond. Winds were strong and the current was pumping pretty good. Fishing was tough to say the least. We did manage to get this nice blue in the boat though.

Thanks guys. I was just reading the finder and driving the boat. BossHogg deserves the credit, he fought that big boy and got him to the boat, all i did was get him in the net. I actually got skunled yesterday..LOL

He caught it off a shad fillet, and it came out of about 27 feet of water ..Set up right in a creek mouth. The bottom went from 13 ft down to 23, then back up to 15 for a bit , then dropped dropped back down to 27 or 28...Real good looking bottom. I would have liked to stay and fish a little more, but we werent prepared to fish after dark, and the boat ramp pretty much had NO lights, so i didnt want to try to put the boat back on the trailer in pure darkness. I want to go back to the same spot and sit on it for a while. It looked good

    Nice fish Matt,
The tubes is an awesome place to fish during high water, Lynn and I have fished there when the water was halfway up into the tubes, right out of them the water drops to 27 foot deep, you can pull your boat right up to them, nice big hole, when there is little current the Gar are in there thick, I have gotten bait out of there alot during the summer months, let me know if you need help for your tournaments in that area as I know it well, I want to fish some of yours this year but most conflict with my tournament schedule........Doc
