I want to work 3-ways into a couple different rigs this year, to me they dont look that strong. I wanted to get some 3/0 brass and some 2/0 black nickel. Are those the strongest they come, and can those sizes hold up?

Oh I dont think there will be a problem with them holding up. Metal is a lot stronger than you may think. If you dont want to take my word for it, then tie a piece of strong (holds your body weight) twine in a palomar knot to the swivel with a BIG loop on the end of it (for you, or one of your children/friends ;)) and then tie the other side off to something, and then pull. You will see how much force it takes to bend a piece of metal that small, if it bends at all. Not to mention they are designed to hold fish of large size :)

I agree w/ barbel, 3 way swivels are very strong I've pulled some nice flatheads w/ no trouble.
