Well, got up at 3:30am and headed out for some fishing. Got down to Drake Harbor on the water about 7am and looked for shad there, after about 20 throws I netted 14 nice big shad, they were stacked up in 12 feet of water near the bank opposite of the boat ramp. I fished everywhere, at the buoys below the dam, mud flats, slack water, swift water, current breaks, channel ledges, deep in 35 feet to shallow in 5 feet, even way downstream from the 65 Highway bridge. NOT EVEN A BITE!!!! Steve Brown stopped by while I was fishing and also said that he had been having a hard time finding fish so I don't feel so bad. Lots of dead and dying shad floating downstream from the dam and after my conversation with Spoonfish I will agree that the fish are eating good which is making them hard to catch. Water temp was 38-39 degrees so as soon as it starts to warm up I think the fishing will turn on. Good luck everyone! Chris
