The Maddcatter and I each caught a flatty tonite. I got the first one a 36 pounder and later he reeled in a 14 pounder. I wont have the pics up til later in the afternoon. This cool rain all week has dropped the water temp from 62 last sunday down to 57.7 as of monday night. So that should mean an extra week or two of pre-spawn fishing.

Last sunday and monday all were caught on live shad 9 to 12 inches. Last night we caught both on river crappie. Had some real livley pond gills too, but no takers on them.

Netman wouldn't it be great if everyone did? My cousin asked to go fishing with me last week after he saw the pics of that 41. I told him sure, then he said " if I catch one over 40 pounds I'm gonna have it mounted " And I said " then you aint going fishing with me " That was met with a big sigh, and a why not? Then I proceeded to explain to him the virtues of CPR. I don't know if it sunk in or not but he did stop to think on it for awhile.
