Fished Saturday with my good buddy oldominioncater. We ended up fishing one of his Honey Holes and I ended up landing my new PB. 58 lbs, 50 inches in length with a 28 inch girth. Fish was caught in approximately 22 feet of water using a spinning set up with 20 lb main line with a 40 lb leader utilizing a three way with a 8/0 circle hook and a 8 oz. pyramid sinker. My PB went from 22 lbs to 58 lbs. Can't wait to get back out there. Good Luck to all fishing this week.

    Pete

That is one awesome fish, Pete. Thanks in advance for that exact location, so I can catch him, too. LOL Did you throw a stick out on the water to mark the spot?;)

    Tommy,

I wish you all the luck in the world this weekend. If my boat is back from the shop by Friday, I'll be out there this Saturday as well and I will keep an eye out for you. Good luck and catch one of those James River Hawgs.

Wish me luck? Is that all I get? No gps coordinates or anything? HaHa :)
Thanks Pete. I hope you get your boat back and can make it out. We'll be in a 17' Key West, can't say right now where we will launch from, though. That's an hour by hour decision, depending on wind and weather. Gottafish is planning to meet up with us on Friday when I get there, and I'm sure he can offer some suggestions. Ketch ya later, pal.

Scott, that one might be ready to bite again by the weekend if I can find him. Ole Pete was putting a bear hug on that one, I bet. Don't know if the fish has fully recoverd yet. LOL
Did y'all notice how long that thing was. Man, if it had had more shoulders, it might have made 70#!
I'm gonna get me one of 'em one day....
