Now if I can find somewhere to try them.

Might go to a spillway tomorrow if the weather is not to bad.

They are calling for 3"-5" of snow here tonight.Snowing right now.

I've always heard that if you don't eat the first catch of the year, you'll have bad luck the rest of the year.:eek:oooh::crazy::smile2:
How do you like your shad prepared Tom?

Does anyone know just what weather conditions cause massive shad kills.I've seen some winters when ice melted dead shad were stacked up on the bank.Would be a good time to get some bait and probably catch some fish.

Ray(unclebuncle) i think it happens so we don't have to work as hard throught the spring. If I really knew I would tell ya but that I don't. But we pray this year we have one, cause last year we didn't. Jim will keep us posted if Milford has one so we can go and fill some buckets of 10-14+ inchers. Jars of gizzards were $9.00 a quart the last couple years. This saves us all money.

By the way Happy Birthday Tomorrow.
