Mankind, I have a newer Force 90 hp, its a 1998 and it pushes my 17.5" aluminum, walk through Fisher Deep V, at about 35-37 MPH with 30 gal of gas and 2 full size guys and all there crap, 4 batteries, etc. ( thats down river BTW..) I also have a Stingray hydrofoil so that cost me about 2 MPH as well they tell me. I hope this helps. It would really move a lighter boat!

This engine was on a 24' pontoon boat and it would run around 22 mph.

My nephews have a Force 90 on thier boat,,, it says Force by Mercury but I think it's an old Chrysler deal,,,, it's different than my 90 hp Merc..... But it is one great running motor and I think it is easier on fuel than my 90 Merc.

Don't be scared of a 90 hp Force,, they are good motors.

Nephews is on a fiberglass bass type boat,, it gits it.
