I just broke the starter rope on my 77 Mercury 20 hp motor. How difficult of a repair is this?

No I do not, is there somewhere online I can get a pic or do I need to pony up for the manual?

If you gonna keep the engine I would get a manuel but I'll see what I can find for you on the starter. Post me the serial number and we will get the right one.

No, not too hard at all.
I've had the cowling off of mine many times and it shouldn't take you but maybe a couple of hours doing it the first time.

I've got a manual that should fit that motor............I could copy some pages out and send them to you if it would help.
