15hp Evenrude to 25hp??

Bobpaul, I know that you can turn a 9.9 into a 15, but some of the fellas was tellin me that I could make this 15 into a 25. Is this true? and if so how do I go about it? Its a mid 70s 15hp evinrude. Thanks Mac :cool:

The 9.9 and 15 hp engines have the same or close to the same piston displacement. The 25 to 35 have about 10 cu in's more, larger carb that meters more fuel, larger intake that accepts more fuel/air mixture, larger drive and prop shaft, and larger prop to deliver the hp to the water.

If those guys can tell you how, let me know too.
