got a 1980 evinrude 115 horse last year, took it out 2 weekends agao, after cleaning and changing fluids, pluds look like new and clean, it ran great, took it out this past weekend, started well and ran great at low speeds, we were in a no wake area fishing, finally got out to the speed-ski zone and opened it up, went right up on plane and ran great for about 30 seconds, i slowed it down to check out a bay for fishing and when i tried to throttle back up anything past 1/2 throttle it falls on its face acts like its running out of fuel, the ball on the fuel hose will go soft, not suck shut, so i am thinking fuel pump ? if you pump up with ball will help a bit, but when not running, pump up and holds pressure, i had a spare ball and hose, tried it no change any help would be appreciated

Smokey pull the top off the fuel pump and see if it has any trash in it or a hole in the line up to the carb.
