Over the weekend a friend of mine shot a buck through the heart with a 100 grain Muzzy broadhead. The shot was approx 22 yards (verified by a laser rangefinder) and it was a complete passthrough. He sent me the pic and I thought that I would share.

BTW the bow was a Matthews Switchback set at 70 lbs and he was using a carbon arrow.

Congrats to your friend on the humane shot. I pass up shots I'm not sure of. Not just the quality of sportsmanship but the quaility of meat also.

ive shot 3 deer in the 4 years of hunting(the ones year no luck noone shot a deer out of 8 people o nthat property) and one was a neck shot, one was a lung shot which im not to big on, and the next was a heart shot. i agree with most humane hunters, dont take a shot unless you know the animal isnt going to go 3 days and get killed by a pack of yotes or sumthin.
