1000 lb hog taken in alabama-- DOMESTIC!!!

    i read in the Dallas Morning News that the 1000 pound hog taken in alabama was a domesticated hog sold by a farmer to the place that it was shot about 3 days before the 11 year old kid shot it.... ill try and find more info on it and post it later

    Yeah, I heard about that. Only takes hogs a few weeks to get wild though I believe. Kinda puts a taint on the big hog, but it's still a monster.

    hehehe i shot it, didnt feel like cleaning it and decided to give it to that kid so know one would know my hunting spot lol hehe:0a32:

    lol i dont think there's any TRULY WILD hogs in the US. they were all domestic during their family history i believe.....

    They just shot one here in Carroll county Iowa that weighed 800# course the Dnr here still says there are no ferrel hogs!!
